Walking around Montreal

Montreal experience was great! Green, green and again green! We went to Canada in September and we were so lucky because the weather was just wonderful. We’ve been sun kissed every day! The green all around completed this beautiful atmosphere. Canada is the place where you have the purest air, there you’ll find a lot of green places, nice places with water, peace, silence, relaxation, in a few words there is a good vibration. I place where I found out that if you are not stressed the things will just go with to flow or will be even better than you were expecting. It is great to remind sometimes this, because the things are getting easier then. There nobody is hurrying or stressing. It is amazing!

Here it is what we did and loved:

  1. I love nature and everything that mean green, they can be in my plate or just in front of me. Haha. Just Kidding. So, first on my top list it is Mont Royal. Besides the huge and beautiful park full of nice squirrels, this offers to you a very nice top view of the city. I have to admit that wasn’t that easy to climb this mountain and reach the view, we had a lot of stairs and was pretty hard, but we just stopped to enjoy the surroundings when we felt the need. On the top the view is Amazing, also, there was a piano that everyone could play it. I did this and it felt so great to be on the top, to have that view and the opportunity to fulfill my heart with music. It was all so peaceful, all you have to do is to enjoy.
  2. Jean-Drapeau Park. We are on the same chapter: parks. This is so much more than a park – spanning two islands it’s packed full of adventure at every turn. Jean-Drapeau is home to La Ronde amusement park, an abundance of water sports, a large aquatic complex and swimming pool. This is huge, you also have special places for a picnic, or cycling tracks. We walked a lot and we got lost in this park, but it is a pleasure to get lost in a place like that.
  3. In the same park you’ll find the Biosphere that can be admired inside or outside.
  4. To leave the island we took a boat trip to old port of Montreal. I love boat trips because it offers you another perspective of the place that you’ve been and also to the places that you are going to.
  5. We arrived to Old Port. The best place to have fun and eat something good. There it is a very cool amusement park and also are numerous activities in this area, including zip lining. We loved to gallivant around in the sun admiring the boats and food trucks. If you are looking for souvenirs, this Is a very good place, you’ll find a lot of cool stuff.
  6. From old port we just walked around the streets from the old part of the city. The architecture is great and the atmosphere from coffee shops and restaurants it is wonderful. We saw a lot of street artist, as I said many times they give flavor to the places that we visit. We admired and admired!
  7. Walking around, we reached Notre-Dame church. The schedule for visiting was just until 4 p.m. but we were able to enter in the church to assist the church service. That was even better because we could look at it in silence.
  8. The street art from Montreal is already very well known. To be more specific the painted walls from Montreal are famous. Everywhere you find ‘living walls’. I called them like that because they someone’s feeling which is great. It was a privilege to enjoy them.
  9. On the same chapter we have the Contemporary Art Museum. But if you don’t have enough time to visit it, don’t you worry, art is all around Montreal.
  10. If you are looking for the perfect spot for shopping, Saint-Chaterine street it is the ideal place. There you’ll find a lot of big brands and nice shops. From here we just got lost on the streets between sky-scrapers and elegant houses.
  11.
  12. Of course we tried their traditional food. One of them! It is called Poutine and it means fried potatoes with cheese and gravy sauce. It was delicious but a bit too heavy for me actually, for my stomach, but you should definitely try it.

Otherwise we enjoyed at every step Maple syrup in all his shapes. We walked and walked, we found a lot of nice coffee shops where you can just sit and relax. We caught up with a music festival. It was awesome to see people dancing In the middle of the day. Montreal was a great experience, which I definitely recommend!
