Chinese Vegetables with Red Rice

Hello dear ones, I am glad to see you again in a wonderful new week at "Wednesday's Recipe". Today I suggest you make Chinese style vegetables with red rice together. Here is the video with the recipe, and below I wrote all the details. Enjoy! We will need: 250 grams of rice (I used red rice, but you can use any kind of rice you want) A broccoli Two carrots A red pepper 250 grams of wild mushrooms ( you can also use Champignon or canned mushrooms) A Red Onion 100 ml of water   For the sauce we will use: 3 cloves of garlic 3 cm of ginger root 3 teaspoons sesame 30 ml of soy sauce A tablespoon of rice vinegar 3 tablespoons sesame oil 2 teaspoons maple syrup 2 teaspoons cornstarch     First we put the rice to boil. We boil the rice according to the instructions on the box. (cooking time depends on the type of rice).   Then put the 100 ml Broccoli in the pan, cover it and leave it to cook. Meanwhile, cut all the vegetables. I make the carrot strip, the pepper sticks, and the onion slices.   Then we put the broccoli on the edge of the pan and make the sauce. Basically, this is the most "complicated" and the most important part. Put 3 tablespoons of sesame oil, garlic and chopped ginger, 30 ml of soy sauce, mix. Add the maple syrup, cornstarch, a tablespoon of rice vinegar and sesame seeds. Stir and then put the pepper, carrot and onion in the...

Sweet Potato Curry with Coconut Milk

Hello, dear ones. No more Holidays and holiday vlogs, we start cooking again! This week I suggest you cook together Curry with Sweet Potatoes and Coconut Milk. It may sound pretentious, but it's extremely easy to make and most of all, it's super delicious. It's that dish you can't stop eating even if you feel like snapping. Here is the video with the recipe, and below I write all the details.   We will need: 250 grams of white rice 400 grams of boiled peas (I used canned ones) a medium cauliflower an onion 3 sweet potatoes 300 ml of tomato sauce 400 ml of coconut milk (canned) 4 teaspoons curry 4 cloves of garlic a teaspoon of chopped ginger a teaspoon of hot paprika salt a teaspoon of paprika oil 100 ml of water   First, we put the rice to boil. To a cup of rice, we put a cup of water. We leave it to boil as long as it needs and we will use it only at the end.   Heat the oil in the pan. I used a teaspoon of oil. Chop the onion and put it to harden in the pan, then add the garlic, ginger, curry, hot paprika, paprika and salt.   Then put the diced sweet potatoes in the pan. Meanwhile, cut the cauliflower into bunches and put it in the pan. Add 100 ml of water, cover with a lid and cook for about 10 minutes. During this time, stir from time to time in the pan. When we taste and see...

Plitvice Lakes National Park

Hello, dear ones! As I promised you last week, today we have the article and the Vlog about Plitvice National Park! Paradise on earth! It sounds too good to be true, but the good news is that it is very true! Located only 1200 km from Bucharest, a place that must be visited several times in life! A place where I was amazed everywhere. So much beauty gathered together is less common. Here is the vlog about our experience at Plitvice. I hope the pictures convince you to visit this place.     On our way from Dubrovnik home we decided to stop and visit Plitvice National Park.   From Dubrovnik to there I did about 5 hours. The National Park is located halfway between Zagreb and Zadar (so if you have this route in mind, do not avoid making a stop here). We arrived in Plitvice around 15:00, it was raining and we thought we would not be able to visit the park. Fortunately, in a few minutes the weather cleared and we were able to go buy tickets. Where do you park at Plitvice Lakes and how much does it cost? There are two entrances to the park: Entrance 1-Rastovača and Entrance 2-Hladovina. No matter where you choose to park, there is a bus that connects the two entrances. If you choose to enter a route from Entrance 1, (we entered there) and then leave the park at Entrance 2, there is no problem to get to the parking lot where you left your car. Parking was 7kuna / hour....

Walking through Dubrovnik, Croatia. King’s Landing.

Hello, dear ones.   Here we come back this week with the 2nd part of our trip to Dubrovnik. Even though the weather is not so favorable for travel, we could not give up our long-awaited vacation. More details about the Romania-Split route can be found in the previous article. You have the Vlog about Dubrovnik here, and below I give you some written details. From Split to Dubrovnik are about 3 hours drive, but we were so impressed by the scenery and what we saw that we could not help but stop and admire. We finally arrived in the Magic of Dubrovnik, we stayed at the Hotel Croatia in Cavtat which is 18 km from Dubrovnik. Cavtat is a small and chic resort, we really liked it. The hotel was also superb. It stretched over a fairly large property and offered us rocky beach, harbor beach, park, forest, restaurants with beautiful scenery. We also had a lot to explore around the Hotel. Dubrovnik is simply charming, from Cavtat you could also reach Dubrovnik by boat (150 kuna / person round trip), but we were by car, so we preferred this option. There is no free parking in Dubrovnik, the price for an hour was 40 kuna, even if you parked near the fortress or further. So I advise you to insist on parking next to the fortress. Dubrovnik is beautiful, I was impressed by the scenery, the sea, the atmosphere. One day I made a day boat trip in which I had 3 stops on the islets. The price...

One day in Split, Croatia./ Vacation during Covid-19.

Holiday in Covid -19 period?   Yes, it's possible! If you get information from official sources you can find places to go without any problems. That's how we came to choose Croatia, more precisely Dubrovnik. On our way to our final destination we made a stop in Split. Below you have a video with images and details about our route and what we managed to see in the stop of one night and one day. And below I give you all the details. We drove to Dubrovnik in Bucharest. At 4:30 in the morning we left for the road, we made about 6 hours to the customs in Nădlac, where we entered Hungary. (We chose to go through Hungary because one of us did not have a passport and we did not risk going to Serbia and Bosnia to return). I stayed at customs for about 20 minutes. We did not have any completed statement, we only had proof of accommodation, but no one asked us for it. I presented the ID and entered Hungary. We transited Hungary in 4 hours, at the customs to Croatia we waited up to 30 minutes and we entered only with the ID and we were asked what the final destination is.   Around 20:00 we arrived in Split. Basically, we traveled 14 hours from Bucharest to Split. The road through Hungary is very good, I paid the vignette 44 lei for 5 days. (this was the minimum). In Croatia we also enjoyed the highway, so the road passed much easier. The highway...
